Living in this world, if you just go with the flow, you will find it pretty easy.  Go with the flow of watching trashy videos, listening to vulgar music, using the latest service or doing the latest in thing.  But does what you are doing glorify God?  Does it edify you and build you up personally?  Jesus talks about knowing what direction we should take in our lives.  He says,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEnter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.-<\/em>Matthew 7:13-14<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you just follow the thinking of the world, you will get sucked into the darkness that they are wallowing in.  In fact, just going with the world is very dangerous because in the end, the Bible says that satan is the little \u2018god\u2019 of this world, he and the forces of hell are trying to capture as many people as possible in the same sin that caught them.  Pride and arrogance that they somehow could know better than Father God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Jesus teaches us that the way of the world is wide open but it will lead to darkness and destruction.  As a Christian, you have to choose a different way.  God\u2019s way. God\u2019s way is just, pure, holy, bright, loving, and leads to eternal life.  God\u2019s way takes a bit of effort to get to.  You\u2019ve got to find the gate! <\/p>\n\n\n\n


God\u2019s gate is narrow.  It takes discipline to get up every morning and pray.  It takes discipline to shut your mouth when you feel you\u2019re going to say something wrong.  How do we get into God\u2019s gate?  How do we get into that narrow gate?  God\u2019s narrow gate is a daily fellowship with the Father.  Jesus demonstrated it every day to His followers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the news about Him was spreading even farther, and large crowds were gathering to hear Him and to be healed of their sicknesses. But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray.<\/em>-Luke 5:15-16<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reason we can do signs and wonders…miracles\u2026 the reason why we can make good decisions and change the lives of others\u2026  the reason why we are different from the world is we daily separate ourselves from the world.  We don\u2019t just go because it\u2019s easy or wide open.  We have already decided that we will follow Him before anything else.  Our joy is to get up and enjoy His presence.  Frankly God enjoys your presences too!  Praise God!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The world is going to keep doing its thing. It\u2019s going to be fearful, uncommitted, foul, and messed up.  That doesn\u2019t mean you have to be.  Enter the narrow gate, and make a decision from today that you will spend time with the Father EVERY morning like Jesus does.  That is the secret of His power to change His generation.  You will never be the same.  Let\u2019s enter the narrow gate together.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
