What does the Bible say about the authority of the believer? Many Christians do not truly understand what authority we have. The authority we possess as believers in Christ empowers us to live victoriously, influence our surroundings positively, and declare truth in our lives that changes our circumstances and the world around us. By recognizing the authority given to committed Christians, we embrace our identity and responsibility as followers of the Messiah Jesus Christ.
Once you discover the authority you have as a believer in Jesus Christ (as a Christian) you begin to really see the real world. You see how the Bible reveals what is really going on around you is the spiritual world and the physical world.. We are told in Ephesians 6:12 that there is a spiritual battle we are fighting that is much bigger than any physical situation we are experiencing. In fact, in order to overcome in this world, we have to understand that there is spiritual warfare that we can do to change the results of what is happening in our daily lives. A strong Christian is a believer who truly understands when to bind and when to lose and what angels and demons roles are in the physical world around us. When you understand spiritual warfare, you understand how to win.
