One of the most common questions ministers (and pastors) get is, “How can I know God’s direction for my life?” Everyone wants to know what God has planned for them. Those who have turned from God or may be just don’t know God yet sometimes turn to horoscopes, witches (mediums) and other sources from the dark side trying to contact dead relatives or some sort of spirit. If you want to hear God’s voice not only will you hear God’s voice, you will see him in your life. In fact, the Lord Jesus the Anointed Messiah who died and rose from the dead for all of us literally tells us how we can connect with God.
It’s not from going to church, tithing regularly, or fellowshipping with other Christians. Of course, all these things are good and a part of knowing God. However, Jesus literally tells the world in the sermon to the crowds on the mountain, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. -Matthew 5:8 If you want to see God daily, if you want His direction and guidance in your lives, you have to get your heart right. You have to separate from the violent and vulgar world, and be different. Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD?
And who may stand in His holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood
And has not sworn deceitfully. -Psalms 24:3-4 The purpose of praying daily… of fellowshipping with the Father each morning… is to know His heart. If you want to hear from God, you’re going to have to spend time with Him so you can recognize His voice. Then, you’re going to have to get your thoughts, words, and actions in line with God. You’re going to have to become like God. He is PURE and HOLY. He is not dirty and foul like the world around us. Getting into His presence is literally a spiritual shower that washes off the things of the world. If you want to hear God’s voice, you have to get around Him. The only way to do it is to be PURE in heart. If you seek Him, you will find Him. Praise God!
