Many profess to know it all. They tell you how to live your life, how things are done, even what decisions you should make. If you have leaders like this, especially ‘religious’ teachers, then you may need to step back for a minute. Jesus talks about the religious teachers of the time saying tp the people around Him,
Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”
-Matthew 15:14
Religious people are dangerous. If they don’t know Jesus personally or haven’t been baptized in the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2), they can be even worse. One local Christian once shared, “A prophet prophesied that I would be a great business owner, but I don’t even have a desire to own a business”. Following a person or their comments can run to a dead end. It’s really all about following Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.
The world is deadened. It doesn’t understand true love, relationships, prosperity, or how anyone could walk by faith and not the things they see. The religious people are just a codified version of that. In fact, they pretend like they know all things and just tell you to accept whatever comes along. That’s why the Dark Ages Mentality is so dangerous. It’s just, ‘accept whatever comes to you and don’t question God’ thinking and just deceives people into thinking that they don’t have the hope that Jesus brought us.
Well, sickness, disease, disaster, loneliness, poverty, lack, and every other negative thing we can think of, can’t come from God. Why? He has none of those things. That’s the world’s way. Without Jesus, we are all hopeless. God’s people are not supposed to be living like everyone else. We are to be like our Heavenly Father. We are His ambassadors to the lost world around Him.
As you read this, the Holy Spirit is convicting some about how you have let the blind world lead you. You may be in the ditch now. Pray this prayer and get out of the world’s trap.
Father God, I thank you so much for loving me. In the Name of Jesus Christ I break all the spiritual chains the world has on me. I break the chains of fear, hopelessness, anxiety, and religious tradition. I break the spiritual blinds off me and in the Name of Jesus I speak peace to my soul by the power of the Holy Spirit. I will be led by the blind no longer. I am led by the Holy Spirit because God you said, *Those who are led by Spirit of God are the sons of God.’ I thank you Father that I am a son. I am your child. Father thank you for your goodness! I pray you help me to see things as You see things from now. In the mighty Name of Jesus my Savior AMEN!
