Don’t Stop At Salvation
John 10:10 | |
| 10 | The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. NKJV If you have ever spent anytime watching the news, you will notice one thing. Everything is negative. You will be hard-pressed to find a media outlet reporting good news. Why is that? The world focuses on the negative. When I first came to Jesus and accepted the work that He did for me, I knew that Jesus died so that I would not have to. I knew that He came to give me life. But that seemed to be the end of the story. It is the same thing for so many Christians. However, Jesus said in John 10:10 that “I have come that they may have life and that they MAY have it more abundantly.” Notice it is a choice, you may choose or may not choose to have life. But the Messiah’s statement does not stop there. There is a conjunction word ‘and’. You must not forget the rest of the statement. Jesus said that He came that we might have life, AND that we might have it MORE abundantly. Don’t let your new life in God (Yahweh) through Jesus the Messiah end with a salvation prayer and confession. Learn to live in the abundant life that God promised for you. Don’t stop at salvation. |

Faith Is Speaking
2 Tim 1:13-14 | |
| 13 | Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 14 That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us. NKJV If you are wanting to succeed in your relationship with God, your relationship with others, and have a satisfying life while you are here on this earth, you will realize that there are always going to be challenges. For most people, the biggest challenge is right under their nose. Their mouth! God (Yahweh) commanded Joshua in Joshua 1:8,9 to keep speaking Yahweh’s word in his life. Yahweh said, if you keep the word in your mouth, you will have success. God wants us to be successful and prosperous. Why? So we can be a blessing to those around us. The more we are blessed, the more we can give. The more finances, the more time, the more food, the more love. That is exactly how our heavenly Father is. He is a giver. John 3:16 says that God so loved the world that He GAVE. If you want to be blessed, you have to make sure that the words you speak and God’s Word are in line. After all, Hebrews 11:1 says that faith is substance of the things we are hoping for and expecting. My sister has a farm in Oregon. For years she was always saying, oh this year we’ve got root-rot with the strawberries it’s going to be tough. Oh, this year the price of grain is really down, I don’t know if we are going to make it. One day when visiting her, I remember telling her don’t tell us what you have. We all know what you have. Tell us what you are expecting, because that is what God wants to hear. Faith is now, faith is speaking those things that you expect according to Yahweh’s word. Years later, I visited her farm. Everything was going very well. She started speaking God’s Word over their crops and things changed. They were getting good harvests and great prices on their produce. God had faith to work with in their lives, not fear. Are you giving God something to work with? |

Getting Stronger Faith
Rom 10:16-17 | |
| 16 | But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?" 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. I remember getting saved in a church near Portland Oregon back in March,1978. It was a very exciting day as I went forward at the end of the message when the Pastor called those forward who wanted to receive Jesus as their Savior. For me, although my parents had me in church I didn’t rally grow much past that salvation. That’s until I started getting hungry. In my junior year of university, I remember sitting in my brother-in-law’s bathroom in Oregon saying ‘God, I am not satisfied with my current relationship with you. I want to hear your voice and learn how to walk more under your direction.” You know that prayer is when things started to change for me. I started to go from a cultural Christian to a committed Christian. Why? Because God began to answer my prayer. He started to put me around Christians that really knew Him. That knew His voice, knew His direction, and knew His move. I remember praying, “God, give me faith” prior to that. I had thought that faith was something that came from God. I learned quickly from these spiritual men and women, that faith is not something that floats in from Yahweh. It is something that you have to build and develop. How do you develop faith? Where does faith come from? I learned from Romans 10:17, that faith comes from the Word of God. It comes from spending time in God’s Word, meditating (thinking) it, praying it, saying it about yourself. It comes from preachers who are preaching God’s Word. Not preachers who are quoting what some famous person once said. As I began to get into the Word, and around those who knew the Word, my faith began to grow. Your faith can grow too, but you’ve got to permeate your life with the Word of God. |

Challenging What You Think
Rom 12:2 | |
| 2 | And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. NKJV When you confess Jesus as your Savior, that is the beginning of your new life with God. That doesn’t mean everything is a bed of roses. Some folks read 2 Cor 5:17 and say that you are born again. You are a new creature, the old things are past, you are now a new creation. Well, if we are a new creation then why does Romans tell us not to become (or conform) to the way the world does things or to renew our minds? What is the new creation? According to the Word (1 Thess 5:23), we are a three-part being. We are a spirit first and foremost. That is what makes us different from animals. We have a soul, which is our mind, our will, and our emotions. And we have a body. Our body is what I call our ‘earthsuit’. Without a body our spirit would have no where to reside. So what is the new creation when you get born again? It is our spirit! Our spirit is born again, our body doesn’t change, nor does our personality (which is our spirit and soul). We are new when we are saved. But that doesn’t mean our emotional problems are just wiped away. We have to deal with them. If you were an over-eater before you accepted Jesus as Saviour, then you will probably be one after you are saved. God wants you to challenge the way that you think; to make new again (renew) the way you think about eating. That is just one example, for you it could be smoking, the way you talk to others, giving your best at work, dealing with drugs or alcohol, how you look at the opposite sex, the use of foul language, dealing with anger, the list goes on and on as none of us are perfect. The Holy Spirit is speaking to you right now. You’ve got to read this prayer out loud. Fill in the blanks with what God spoke to you about renewing your mind in. “Father God, forgive me of my sins. Forgive me of my habit of _____________________. Help me to overcome this problem and renew my mind in this area. I want to know you. I want to know your power in my life. If I begin to fall into the habit, have your Holy Spirit remind me about it right then and there. I accept what You and Your lordship in my life. I praise you for victory in everything that could possibly pull me down. You are good and you are in me!” |

Getting More Faith
Rom 10:16-17 | |
| 16 | But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?" 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. NKJV When you repent from your old ways and turn to Jesus as your Messiah, you have just begun a new life. By faith you turned from your current life of separation from God and took the first step in developing your friendship with the Creator of the Universe. We can easily see the creation of our Father God all around us in nature. However, many people think that repenting is the first and last action of your faith life with God when actually it is just the beginning. That faith (knowing what you expect will come to pass) that took an unbelieving lost person, that’s you and me, to a clean and right person before God’s eyes is the same faith that you have to use everyday. But where does faith come from? How do you get it, and more importantly how do you make your faith strong? I remember praying as a young Christian, ‘God, give me faith’. I found out that is not how you get faith. Well, actually faith comes from hearing God’s Word according to Romans 10:17. That means reading God’s Word, the Bible regularly and making it a part of your life. It also means listening to spirit-filled believers who know and love Him preach God’s uncompromising Word. As you do this your faith will become strong. Read the Word when you get up or before you go to bed, listen to anointed preachers as you go about your duties at your house, and just permeate your day with the Word of God. Your faith will grow. You will be able to believe God for the people around you to repent and come into His Kingdom, and they will. You will be able to believe God for blessing, and you will have amazing returns on your giving. You will be able to believe God for health and healing, and you will have it. Your life will never be the same. Prayer- Father, I thank you that faith comes by hearing your word. I pray that as I listen to and think on your Word, my faith grows. Father, remind me of your word and help me to grow and develop in my faith so that I can move spiritual mountains in the Name of Jesus. |

Faith Is Substance
Heb 11:1-2 | |
| 11 | Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. 2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. NLT Being a believer, being a Christian, is all about faith. Well, what exactly is faith? Faith is the expectation based on God’s promises. As a child of Yahweh God, you have been reborn in your spirit. In John 3, Jesus tells a woman he meets at a well that ‘God is spirit’. If you want to know God, you have to make your spirit sensitive to His voice. Your spirit needs to come in line with Him as Yahweh is a spirit. Does God speak to people in an audible voice? Absolutely yes, we have people in the Word of God (the Bible) that hear God’s voice. Moses was looking for some sheep he was taking care of in the mountains. He saw a strange thing. A bush was glowing, it was burning, but didn’t burn up. Yahweh spoke to Moses that day in an audible voice. However, if you look at Moses’ life, God spoke to him mostly via his spirit. If you see Proverbs 20:27, you will see that the Yahweh directs us through our spirits. ‘The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord”. If we have not repented and come to God, then your Spirit is pretty disconnected to God and His voice except for His saving grace and mercy. We do know that the Holy Spirit still draws unbelievers otherwise you and I wouldn’t be here. When you repented and began your relationship with God, you had no connection with Him. However, you had the expectation that you could have a relationship with Yahweh because you knew He said if you repented and confessed you would be born again (or born from above as it says literally). By faith you did it, because you expected it. It is the exactly same for healing, no matter how sick you are, how broken your body is, how big a disease you have, God’s will is healing for you. King Jesus died on the cross to take it all for you (1 Peter 2:24). When you have a believer strong in faith pray over you, you should expect healing. If you expect what God promises, you will have it. If you receive prayer, but don’t expect to be healed, then you are probably wasting your time. No matter how strong the faith of the man or woman of God is that is praying for you, if your expectation is not set in faith, then you will not be healed. Faith is what moves mountains (Mark 11:22-25) and faith is what pleases God (Hebrew 11:5). Some time ago, I was told by an older gentleman with some physical problems that, “If God wanted to heal me, He will”. No! That is completely wrong. God wants His children healthy and well, just like an earthly parent. Your quality of life depends on your faith level. What is your expectation today; victory and success, or failure and defeat? The choice is yours. Believe God in faith. |

The Creator of the World - Jesus God
Col 1:16-17 | |
| 16 | For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. NKJV If you ask a believer, ‘who created the world?’, you will normally get the response that ‘God created the world’. Of course we know that, but actually which part of the Godhead does the Bible say? Normally, even after qualifying the question, people say the Father God. However, one of the first things I learned in Bible school was that the Godhead is made up of three distinct parts; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Just as a husband and wife have different roles in the family, there are different roles in the Godhead (or Trinity). The Father makes the plan, the Holy Spirit reveals the plan, and the Son executes the plan. When I began to understand the role of Jesus the Messiah, I began to understand that He really has been around since the beginning. Jesus is God. With that in mind, you begin who the ‘Angel of the Lord’ was in the Old Testament that; appeared and encouraged Hagar, stopped Abraham from sacrificing his only son Isaac, appeared to Moses at the burning bush, wrestled with Jacob, encouraged Gideon to fight for his peoples’ freedom and so many other interactions with people who loved God. King Jesus is all over the Old Testament and New. That The Bible is quite clear on who created the world. Jesus the Messiah is the creator of the world. He has always existed. According to Colossians, all things were created by the Messiah. John 1:1-3 also attests to the same fact. |
| 1 | In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. NKJV The best way to check the spiritual condition of any group is to see how much they revered Jesus the Messiah. Many groups are deceiving because the will say He was a great man, or prophet because no one can deny that He was born, lived, was crucified, and thousands of people began to attest to resurrection and changed the world. However, if you ask them if Jesus is the Son of God, the Messiah, part of the Godhead; they will deny it. Then you will know you are talking to spiritually dead people. King Jesus has been around from the beginning, He wants to be involved in the lives of His people and desires to know every person He created. Do you know Him? |
